LakePoint Fellowship started as a vision of Pastor Wes Hodges back in 2006. Ever since moving to Texas he could not help but think about the possibility of one day returning to Utah to Pastor. So, in the fall of 2006 he e-mailed some people to gage interest in supporting him as he moved forward in his quest to plant a church.
He looked over several sites in the Salt Lake/Provo area before settling in on Northern Utah County.
In July 2008, the Hodges family moved to Utah to plant LakePoint Fellowship. After several possible locations, God opened the door for LakePoint to meet at the old Colonial House building 187 W. Main in Lehi, UT.
In August of 2008, preview services began, with the final grand opening date of September 28, 2008.
